We all...should be.

Last night...at The Meeting, The Mayor...and Council, were discussing IDOT District 6, and how...they Were Shocked...

Shocked!!!

that...

IDOT District 6 put up Higher Speed Limits...on 151, than what had been.

The Mayor said..."When it was 45, They Ran Faster!! Now, it's 50, and 55!! How Fast Will They Be Going Now???"

They were very upset by that.

What did they think...was going to happen, with these 'Improvements'.

What...did I tell them...several years ago.

This...is now a 'Super Highway'.

With...a Wrongful Suicide Trail Next To It.

A Councilman spoke up, and said...

"They're Using The Center Turn Lane, as a Passing Lane!!!"

Hmmm.

Where have we, and They...All of Them, including District 6, heard that...'warning', before?

Long...Long...Before ground was broken.

Over, and over, and over.

The same Councilman, and Mayor...are concerned....about low visibility, at an intersection...South of our home, because of the Bridge over Prairie Creek.

They said.... "A Semi will come along, won't be able to see us, until it's too late, rear end us...that'll be that!!!"

Well...Boys, It's worse...turning right, into our...still...mess of a drive...with the Massive...now...larger, than an 'Interstate' Bridge, three feet taller, than it needed to be...arched, solely to accommodate Fairfax's Trail...Under it, and along side...of it,

Again...

I, haven't exactly been quiet.

There's emails... texts, and that 52 page report, from several years ago, I handed each, and every Council Member, The Mayor...and Clerk, Their Own Copy.

Told them all...repeatedly...what they were ASKING for, with a Suicide Trail...will be Seen as Reckless...Endangerment, knowing All of This Information...and completely ignoring it...if they went ahead with a Suicide Trail...

when someone is injured, or...sadly...dies.

{Wanted to take a copy of the report...also...to The City's, then...lawyer.

When I called their lawyer...offering to bring him a copy...he said...The Mayor said,

 "he wasn't to 'participate' in this 'matter'. " 

Figure that one out. 

Even...if I paid for his time.}

My Friend, who sat there...with me...quietly, last night...was Mortified.

and...they All...thought it was a Great...Idea, to put a Bike/Walking Trail Next To The Above?

The Highway...through Fairfax...has only been open, for around a week.

I'm...Numb.

Couldn't finish this post...last night.

Couldn't sleep...either.

None of this...will be in the Minutes.

Well...maybe, a watered down version... will be, now....since we went to the meeting.

The City...was letting only 4 Citizens into the meeting.

Using Covid...as an excuse.

Thankfully, we got there early.

Can't even think....about what they got 'done'...during the complete shutdown.

I've tried to get in their 'conference' calls, only managed....to be able to do so...once.

Not very tech savvy...I'll admit.

Not Everyone...is.

These Meetings Must Go Live.

Again...I don't expect...people to believe what I say.

People need to hear it themselves.

I, didn't make one comment...last night.

I..have Directly...stood squarely...been on the Agenda...as well...at the podium, addressed them about All of These Major Concerns, again, and...again....and...again.

Deaf Ears.

All I could do...is sit...and examine the Mayor, and Council, last night.

Examine...each, and every word...of their 'now'...concerns, that should've been 'Back Then'...concerns.

oh my.

If they had...things, would be so...different.

We never would've been wrongfully...butchered.

Flooded...over, and over.

and...

I'd still have some sanity left.

Others...would have a Much...Safer Drive Through Our Little Town.

Still have to worry about Folks getting Killed...next to this, Now...and, Then...

Insane Highway...

Not even filing a lawsuit, and having a signed...recorded agreement, stopping Their Suicide...Trail, on the bridge that adjoins our property...or on any of our condemned land, stopped them from building, and making 'accommodations'...for it...anyway.

They just Breached our Agreement.

I questioned them over and over...as I watched them Build It.

They all lied to my face, and...in writing.

Until...of course....it was undeniable.

It was Built.

Now...we have to Saddle Up...yet...again.

There was Much...Much...More, concerning IDOT.

Much More...about a Lot...of very Scary...Things.

Yes...I am Afraid.

We All...Should Be.

Anyone who comes close...to Fairfax, using 151...for sure.

So...is my Friend, who was with....who also...lives here.

People must....be able to See...These Meetings, from their phone...and computer.
