| Had a Lovely Time... at The Chicago Botanic Garden Fair... It was...again...Over the Top!!! The Vendors...and Promoters...did an OUTSTANDING JOB!!! They were Flooded... and Battled Lightning.... I heard they had to evacuate...3 times... during set up... but... through it all... The Show...Went On!!! What Amazing... People... Bless Their Hearts! and...walking through... you would never know... the Huge Mountains...they all....Climbed... oh my... My camera...slipped out of my hands... as I was leaving... Hit Hard....on the Concrete.... and I didn't know...until that night...I had lost over half of my images... I was Sick! {Ed and Bud...will be Thrilled... : ) } I had a Lovely...time... and was so... Inspired..: ) but...I was hurting... and could only take...a couple of hours... there... but...it was worth the drive.. and...I Soaked in... The Beauty... even tho...it was a short visit... I headed Home...and met up with Bud and Renate...in Davenport, Iowa... for Supper.. Bud had seen a program about The Blackhawk Hotel... on PBS... so we enjoyed a FABULOUS Supper there... It was an Incredible...Hotel... we decided to stay the Night!!! My room...was Over the Top!!! Wowza! Check it out!!! {It's a Four Star Hotel All The Way!!!} Then... in the Morn...we shared a Lovely... Breakfast... they headed home... I went Antiquing.... Had...an AWESOME Time... Met The Coolest Cat... that I will be posting about...tomorrow... : ) It was such a Gift....spending time...with Bud and Renate... and seeing...Scarlett...Louie...Michael and Ed...and So Many...Friends...from Heart of Country.... Love to ya... Barb C. { Liz just called... Miss. Scarlett's Biopsy was GOOD! {Thank You...for the Continued....Prayers..: ) } and...while heading home...Sunday... Cindy called... she had the Estate Sale...Books done... It Blew...past our Goal! Thank You All...for Attending!!! and...Thanks...Cindy and Tom... for ALL of the Help... You...are Angels... : ) Love...to ya... { I had to laugh...when Cindy called... I had limited reception... The number I heard....was substantially... below our goal... but... I knew we did our Best.... I said...it was disappointing... but... 'It Is....What It Is'... : ) The Sale...was Truly... about the Journey... I purchased a few...little pieces of Jackie's Jewelry... and wore them...to The Botanic Garden Show... She was such a Yard Bird...I thought...I'd take a little...of her...with me... She would Have....Loved...This Show!!!! : ) Then...Cindy said... the Numbers...by Numerals... I about... Dropped! {Glad I was sitting....down..: ) } Thanks...to Bart...as well... He cleaned the House...after the Sale... He...did an Outstanding...Job.. What Angels... I have..in my Life... : )  |

I have never been to The Chicago Botanic Garden Fair but I am definitely going next year. I hate to admit it, but I have never been to Chicago. . . and it isn't that far from me. I see a very fun long weekend coming next year!
So glad your news was all good - the show, your friends, your little Scarlett, your sale results - you deserve all that and so much more! The sudden death of a camera or any other piece of technology, esp. loaded, that we rely on - that's very sad. But hopefully your visuals & blogging journal will capture all the memories you need. :)
