It appears, Gene had Four Major Passions, in his life.

Mustangs.

The Kids, are keeping the Mustangs, as they should.
But...oh my, There's Tons...of Tools, and Equipment. A Nice...Partial...Collection of Coins,
Golf, and... Golf Related Items.
There's Tons...of Everything.

Loads of Household...and Furnishings.
I'll have Images, July 12, in the Evening.
We are working 12, to 15 hour days....there, now... just, sorting.
It was 100 degrees in the Massive Garage, today...
We began pulling from the Garage Attic, but...didn't last long.
Whew...Oh My.
It had to be at least... 130 degrees up there.
Toasty.

So...we'll be pulling from there, bright, and early....tomorrow morning, before it heats up.

Workin'...Workin'...Workin'. Estate Sale, 7/16 - 7/19!!

We keep finding More...and, More.

Like...always.
When you work these Estate Sales, it doesn't take long, to get to 'Know' the Person, whose
'Material Life'
you're handling.
It can be very difficult.
Very..sad.
Sad, mostly...because, you'd wish you could've met them, in person.

I worked alone, most of the day...
wasn't long, before I was having 'conversations' with 'Gene'.
: )
The Gentleman, whose things, we are getting in order.
His 'Key' Bib Overalls, were hanging, where he'd hung them, by the washer... to dry, long...ago.
As I folded them, I thought, and...said out loud, "Gene, I Bet...These, were Your Favorites."

Found a 35th Anniversary Ford Mustang watch.

I, had to slip it on my wrist.

Because, of covid...we've had to push Everything...around. : ( Seems, kinda....fittin', Us Mustang Folks, would spend That Day, together. <3 <3 <3 |
{I knew that, when the Garage door, rolled up, the first time I was at his Home,
and saw his 'Mustang Family', nestled...inside.}

When I opened up the cabinet, where Gene kept his massive collection of Music...
I, wondered, what kind of Music, he...enjoyed.
He, listened to the Good, Old....Country Music, like we do, along with a diverse mix,
of All of The Good Tunes, from yesterday.

In the afternoon, I found my way to the Garage.
{Sometimes, it get's a little overwhelming, working in one place, for a long time.}
While sorting...in the Garage...
found an old card,..signed by all of his co-workers, from the day he retired, many years ago.
He was Loved. <3
Gene, Loved Them...too.

He kept that card...in his top, desk drawer, in his Work Shop, over all of the years.
His...'Happy Place'.

As I was working, outside, and in the Garage...turned around, suddenly, there was
a Man.... standing next to me...from out of nowhere.
I, was a bit taken back, at first.
Startled.
{kind of get in my own little world, while I sort.}

The Man asked me if the house, had sold.
{He'd seen a sign, in the yard.}
Told him...I, was pretty sure, it had.
We began talking, and within a few minutes, I knew his life story.
It...was very sad.
: (
He'd lost his Son...then, his wife, then..his Home, and Business.
: (
He, was trying....to put his 'Life'...back, together.
Hoping, to find a Home, in his old neighborhood, where he, and his Family...had lived.
: (
then...
the Man, went on....and said,
"I don't know...how I could've survived, these last, several years..without my Faith."
: )

He didn't go on, and..on...he, just had a Peaceful...Presence, as he spoke.

I, told...him, he's what I refer to....as... a 'Living Prayer'.

Told him, I've had some heartbreaks, too....
and, my Faith, carries me, as well...
but, haven't found the 'Peace', he...has, just...yet.
; )
Still, making my way, through the 'Twilight Zone'.
; )
We both...agreed, that we're each...on a 'Journey', with it's own....

He, was one of my Blessings, of this day.

When we were going through this Estate, after...the Family took everything they wanted...
I spotted some little boxes, up high....on a shelf.
They were all random, recycled boxes.
Somehow, I knew...there was 'something'...'interesting'...in those little boxes.
; )
Bill reached to pull the first box down...it was very heavy, for being such a small box.
It was heavy, because it was Filled...with Silver Coins.
All, of the little boxes were Filled, with Silver Coins.
; )
oh...my.
Many date from the 1800's to the 1930's.
The Family, was very happy, we found them.

Blessings.
Went to bed, last night....
feeling so thankful, Grateful...
for those who've walked with me...
ridden...with me, over some mighty rough,
and uncertain territory.
I, don't like...asking for help.
Never have.
I'm kind of stubborn, that way.
Dad, said...I was pretty
'Independent'...
growing up.
I never really, thought about it, I guess.
If there's something that needs to be done, you just...do it.
That's all.
You figure it out, and get it done.
Whatever it takes.
It's those times, that...I look back on, when...everything I had, wasn't enough.
I gave it my Best Shot, and...my best, wasn't...good enough.
I'd have to face the fact, that I needed a Hand.
Not only a 'hand', but...ask the person to delve into the quicksand, I'd been struggling in, too.
That, takes...someone...with Grit, and...a Huge Heart.

I woke up...this morning, sobbing...thinking, about Those, over my lifetime...
who've, Done...just That, without thinking twice, when I was up to my neck, and... reaching out.
oh my.
