Outrunning The Storm.

Ugly... afternoon, in Iowa.

Sirens just sounded, in Fairfax, and Cedar Rapids.

We haven't had much rain, here... today, but, many Big Winds.

little, tiny hail.

Didn't go to work at The May 2 - 5 Estate Sale, today.

Was up... so much in the night, concerned with the 'now'...  Flooding, 

and... kinda knew, we were going to get hit again... today.

Have to keep the WetVac... handy, since the IDOT's 'Wrongful'...

 Just bought a HUGE... Beautiful... late 1800's General Store Cupboard, 

from Dear Friends, who lived near Vinton, Iowa.

As we were loading it... oh my.

The Heat and Humidity was Stifling, that afternoon.

'Sultry'...

wouldn't come close to describing it.

You Could Cut The Air...

With a Knife.

and...

it got so...

'Still'.

Not...

Good.

We all knew it.

{Friends...Monica, and Dean... and me. {and, The Ford'.}

but...

We hadn't Visited... for So Long, 

it was difficult getting away from our conversations, tho...

we all knew, 

Trouble... was Brewing, For Sure.

; )

{If you live in the Midwest... you can Feel 'Trouble' in your Bones.}

 Dean...  helped me load The Giant... on the bed... of The Ford.

We were Both... Sweating Bullets, loading.

Melting.

We Knew.

'Big...

Storm'.

oh my.

From their home, to ours... is about a 40 minute drive.

When...

that little Flatbed Ford... and me, saw the Clouds, just as we hit the hard surface road,

 about... 30 minutes, from home...

well...

I'd be willing to bet 'hard' earned money, that old cupboard had never moved as fast before...

that day...

 or, will ever after, that day.

You would've thought that little Flatbed Ford...

Had

 Wings.

; )

When you see The Sky... above, look like the 'Above', and you've got to somehow...

Outrun That, to Save An Old Cupboard, oh my.

Grabbed a HUGE Tarp.

Covered That Amazing Old Cupboard, just... as The Heaven's Let Go!!!

Amazing Surface.
