We've known each other since we were Toddlers.
Rod, was a Car Guy. He drove a Fancy...Wrecker, when we were teens.

Busy Day...
Spent the majority of Tuesday... helpin' a Friend.
He's cleaning out his Sister's Home.
He's a little overwhelmed.
but...
He's Makin' Progress!!
We moved Many Mountains...
yesterday.

I'll be bringing several loads to The Rabbit Hole.
Makin'... a few piles.

Drove Sally, yesterday... to scope out my Friend's situation.
Wasn't planning on hauling anything.
Sadly...The Ford... was back in The Shop, yesterday.

He's OK.

Coming Home...from Allyson's, Sunday night, noticed the alternator light was on.
The Ford wasn't charging.

As soon as we got on Highway 100, {4 lane}got close behind another vehicle... shut off the battery draining headlights, ran most all of the way Home... with just the parking lights, until... of course, we were on 2 lane, near Fairfax.
We Made It HOME!!!

Gratefully... Justin found it was simply a loose wire, and The Ford is Up... and Chargin' Away,
again.

As we were sorting, and cleaning...
asked my Friend to grab a tote, we could fill with 'keeper' items for him.
My Friend, grabbed a tote, it had a couple of little things in it.
When he reached inside the tote... to pull them out, he Jumped Back!!!
Yelled!!!!
"It's a BAT!!! and... IT'S ALIVE!!"

Taking on The Day

Today... Pal, Allyson, and her Sis... Bethany, return Home.

I've so enjoyed spending a little time with their Wonderful Mom, Kathy....
daily, while caring for The Kitties.

The Kitties, are even warming up to me.

Sure can tell... they are Missing Allyson, and Bethany.

They seem to be searching for them, more... and more, every day.

Will be putting everything away, from The Fall Sale, today.
So... incredibly far behind.
A Dear... Dear... Neighbor has been asking me to come, and go through some things.

Gonna shoot an email... off to Fairfax's Mayor, asking her what the status is on The West Cemetery Road Bridge/Bike Trail... Project, and the further condemnation of our land for it.

Above... is how I'll always remember Skip.

The Family chose the perfect image of Skip, for the cover of his Obituary.
As Jethro and I... were driving through Cedar Memorial... for Skip's Visitation, Friday afternoon,
we rounded a corner,
noticed the Old Ford... above, in the parking lot.

Knew... It Had to belong to Skip's Long Time... Dear Friend, Wes.
: )
Oh...my.

Haven't seen Wes, in 30 years.
He's a Giant...of a Man, in more than one way.

The Best Diesel Mechanic, John, and I... have ever known.
Wes, and Skip... were Best Friends, back in The Day.

It was Wonderful seeing Wes, and hearing a 'few' of his... and Skip's, Crazy Adventures.

I remember that old Wrecker, Skip used to drive.
He worked it pretty hard.
Skip's Service... was Lovely.
Many... Many... attended.

Enjoyed visiting with everyone, and hearing their stories.... of Skip.

Ya know... people, in my opinion, are like Gems.
Diamonds, Rubies... Emeralds.
Each person, like a Gem, is multifaceted.
Don't believe anyone... truly knows every facet of another person.
If... we're lucky, we get to know one, or two...

we're really lucky, we'll get to know a handful.

I never knew the facets... many of Skip's Family members, and Friends... knew., of Skip.
They... didn't know the ones we shared, either.

Skip will be Missed, by Many.
