It's been quite a day...
here, in Eastern Iowa.
Incredibly Beautiful.
I've always loved
'Snow Days'
Gives us an excuse to
Hunker Down,
wrap up in warm blankets...
eat Comfort Food...
and let the Snow fall.
Stay Put...
without feeling guilty.
Snow Days...
make me think of
the
Lewis Carroll
poem/quote.
"I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields,
that it kisses them so gently?
And then it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt;
and perhaps it says, 'go to sleep, darlings,
till the summer comes again.' "
