- I was born near Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I learned to ride horses before I could walk. My Dad was my best friend growing up, and he taught me to love the things most people dismiss. The sickliest day old calf, or the elderly pony some child once loved, but forgot, or the old truck that was left out in the field to rust away, that wouldn't run, until some rusty wire, a battery and the magic in my Fathers hands made'er go. My antiques store, Cross Creek Antiques {Simply Iowa} In Fairfax, Iowa represents what my Dad taught me. I only wish he were here to see it. The shop has been open for almost 15 years, my Dad has been gone for 24. But the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Come visit, or come see me at one of the many antique shows I attend { My Show Calender is Posted} I Love to meet with people who Respect Worn and Well Loved Things...
