It is...what it is.
Took most of yesterday off.
Should've been loading for Junk Jubilee, and getting Much...more done.
Simply...didn't have it in me.
I used to really beat myself up...about taking time off.
Especially...when I'm down to the wire.
but...
I've come to realize, self preservation...must come first.
This stress...brought on... for so...long, coming from Fairfax, and IDOT....
is 'Trauma'.
{City Council Meeting, at Fairfax...tonight. : (
A Friend asked me, a while back...why, do I attend.
It's to watch our backs.
My...God, My God....
It's to watch...our backs.
What they've done...is so incredibly....wrong.
All of it.
It'll be in the book. }
I can't ask myself to keep running on two broken legs.
Sometimes...we have to take a moment... heal, a bit.
Brace those legs up......for the next Battle.
Doing my best...to get the FUSO Loaded, this morning...
then, work at Jerri's Estate, this afternoon.
{then, the Dreaded Council Meeting. }
Pal, Bill...moved many mountains, at Jerri's....yesterday.
He'll be on it...while I'm at the show.

The 'Simply Iowa'...Junk Jubilee Booth, will have plenty, maybe...not as pretty, as in years past.

"Git 'er Done."
Oh...my.
I was beat...last night.
It was a long....old...day.
Run..Run...Run...
covered many miles, before I arrived at Miss. Viv's Birthday, then...covered many more...
after.
As I was helping Liz clean up...a little, looked at the kitchen counter, and saw the little #2 Candle, from Miss. Viv's Birthday Cupcake.
oh...dear.
Memories...came flooding.

John...was such a sentimental...Man, tho...few, knew that.

I remember...one year, after one of the Grandkid's Birthday Parties...when John and I...got home,
John...held his hand out, to give me something.

It was the Birthday Candle...from The Birthday Cake.

I...laughed, then...scolded John...for 'Swiping' It!!!
Told him, The Kid's probably wanted to save it!!!
He said...
"So did I, and I'm a little quicker."

I, just stood...at Liz's counter...yesterday...
frozen, for a moment...or...many, staring at the little candle.
Then, shared the 'Memory'...with Liz.

When I finished my blog, last night...reached into my purse, to get the phone charger,
and...found the little candle.

John had been on my mind, so much...yesterday.
We had completely separate lives, during the day.
John, had to deal...with so much work, and stress....daily.
Me, too.
At the end of 'the day'....we'd melt...into our side by side Lazy Boys....
watch T.V., and...go over...the High Points, and low...points, of each day.

That's My Girl!!
Saw a bit ago... Jo Ann Beer, who is my favorite Fairfax Mayoral Candidate,
Ain't Throwin' In The Towel...
yet.

Only 5 votes... off.
I can't express...how Proud I am of her.
Not just for questioning this outcome...
but...for Everything she's questioned, and worked tirelessly for, for this community.
She's put up with a Lot...of Sass, from City Hall, when she questions their spending, and interesting ways of doing things.
It's painful to watch at The City Council Meetings.
She's always so well prepared, with facts...and, they try to shoot her down, so disrespectfully.

Jo Ann...never lets them ruffle her feathers.
Ever.
She's Amazing.

Had to, when The Masses of Chandeliers came in.
That Room, as most Folks know, is our Sanctuary.
The 'One'...Place, where...we could escape.
It's not like...I don't want Folks to visit, it's just so CROWDED...outside, in the Real World.
I've always believed...John, did...too, that there should be One Place...to find Shelter, now...and again.
A...Place, where...when you close the door,
it's CLOSED.
