Battle Scars.

Beside my Dad, I've never known a harder working Man.

When I got Home...after The City Council Meeting, sat down...at The Old Harvest Table,
{that only me, and Harold...could Love. { and...Ed. ; ) }
and...
wept.
The only tune I could think of...
was "Fun, Fun, Fun,"
by The Beach Boys.
Being facetious, of course.
The ONLY...people...who could find Humor, in all of This, would be Those,
who watch these 'Meetings' when they eventually are Live.
They'd have a a lot of Fun, watching them...from afar.
There's an Election coming up... sure Hope, and Pray, Folks around here...
Vote.
I'd sure like to have some...fragment of my life back, some day.
I've come to the realization, Nothing...Nothing, will ever be 'right', again, here.
That Ship Sailed, with Fairfax's Wrongful Trail.
The Breaching of our Recorded Agreement.
Too....too... much Damage.
It's raining again, this morning.
Most likely will have water come in, because of IDOT's wrongful Trail...accommodations, for Fairfax.
Seems, according to The Council, last night, 'we' are the 'sacrificial lamb'....for Fairfax's Wrongfulness.
Tho, a Councilwoman, who voted for it, it was on her 'Wish List'...said last night, she'd never walk on it.
Nobody should.
They all know that.
I know...everything happens for a reason.
God, has a Purpose, for all of this.
It's been very difficult, dealing with Fairfax, and IDOT.
I'll never be the same person, I was...after this finally wraps up.
Just like Everything...John, worked his life away for.
I have many battle scars, already.
Read somewhere,
"When we reach The Pearly Gate's....The Lord won't examine us, for our Beauty.
He'll be searching for our Battle Scars."
He won't have to look too far....on many of us.
I'm sure He didn't...with Dad, and John.

Looking at What DOT, Breached our Agreement to Do...
For Fairfax's Suicide Trail...
MAKES ME SICK!!!
Yesterday.
That water...ponding was inching towards the house.
Just...feet away.
No ditch anymore....
because of IDOT, for Fairfax's Trail, that was Agreed, and Recorded...Would Not Be.
The 'Lake'...IDOT Has Created for us...now...
to make wrongful accommodations for Fairfax's Trail.
Took the access to our land away, as well.
{To our 'Lake'.}
I've emailed Schneoblen, Alexander, Staebler...at District 6.
As we can see...they've done NOTHING.
Our Tax Dollars, at Work.
WATER RUNS DOWNHILL.
IDOT Has Made US The DITCH.

I SIMPLY WANT TO VOMIT.

Before The IDOT Encroached Stallman Drive into Our Drainage.
I...tried, and tried to tell Newman, from District 6, that Stallman needed to go further South, for Safety, and...Drainage...long before Ground was Broken.
Deaf Ears.

Fairfax...what a Mess.
Where the trees, are/ WERE Standing...{before}
is where District 6 put Stallman Drive.
Took the Trees, and Every Bit...of what kept us Safe, from Flooding, on the South End, of our property.
Look What They've So Wrongfully...

I'll have to look at my records.
I, believe... yesterday....were number's 10, or 11...
FLOODING In Our Home Over The Last Year, since DISTRICT 6 Breached Our Agreement, and went ahead with The Trail Accommodations, for Fairfax.
That clump of brush, that DISTRICT 6 Never bothered to Clean Up....
is where the Tree's were, by The 49 Ford.
We had to Snug It Up To The Rabbit Hole, for Them.
So They Could Take Our Ditch Away...for The New, Dangerous....Stallman Drive.
The Rain Water....{at the Airport was 1.37 inches...yesterday.
Seriously.
That...isn't 'Rain'.
When we got 7 Inches of Rain...
In A Short Span, Everyone around us...Flooded.
Not our Home, or my Shop.
If the above...is what less than 1 1/2 inches of Rain...will do, in a Draught...Year,
put water up to The Saint, and....up to The Ford's rear tire....a few feet from my Store...
What do ya think 4, 5, 6, 7....Inches ...in a Normal Rain Year,,,

Where in the Hell....do you Think...District 6, has Left Us.
I was Beyond...Exhausted, yesterday.
Coming off of Weeks, of Long, Long...Hard Days.
Sure would've liked a day off...
Instead, I was sucking up water for The Big Room, and taking over a hundred pictures.....in the rain, soaked to the Skin,
because of IDOT, and Fairfax, Iowa City Hall.
Speaking of 'City Hall'.
Council Meeting, tonight.
The item on The Agenda gave me Pause.
{Did others, as well. }
Marcus Blazek posted about it on FB.
{I've so Busy...with The Estate Sale, hadn't seen it.}
He took an image of the actual Agenda, for this evening.
My Lawyer...has a Public Records Request for 'certain' documents, at Fairfax....City Hall.
He formally requested them....about month ago.
Hasn't received them yet.
Sure hope they aren't 'Destroying'...anything he requested.
Sure...hope nothing, that shouldn't, 'accidently'...slips into their shredder, while their
'destruction of old records'.
They probably...better Hold Off, on the 'Destruction'...of any 'Documents'...for a bit.
I'll be at The Meeting.
Didn't get on the Agenda, with The Sale's...grueling hours, so...
The Clerk, might tell me, again, like last Month...

Today...as I was taking money...by The Garage Items...when we started The Blow Out...
a Man wanting to offer us, 90% Off...on some items.
{He must have a Kinship to Fairfax, Iowa City Hall, or IDOT District 6. }
After...we declined, his generous offer....
he made the comment...
Loudly...
"Whoever 'That Woman', 'Antique Dealer'...was, from Cedar Rapids...who 'Priced' These Things....
is Crazy!!!"

Everyone froze.
The Man, and I...locked Eyes.

Smiled...
a Big...Smile.
