the rabbit hole...

When Melody came and captured...
The Hatter... in The Snow...
I didn't realize.... at the time... how much...I would reflect...on the images....
I Lovingly...refer...to The Shop...as 'The Rabbit Hole'... but...that's not how it began....
It's...evolved...into it...
but... somehow...I think... I...had...very Little...to do with it....
When...I look at the parallels.... in my life...
as...I look at these images....
it gives me...
Pause...
The Rabbit Hole...
got it's nick name...
several years ago... when a Lovely Group of Girls...from Colorado came to visit...
One of the Girls... hadn't been here before...and  kept asking the others...
"Why...do you keep coming back to this shop...what's it like...? "
One of the girls...who had been here, said...
"I can't describe it... all I can say is... It's like Falling down The Rabbit Hole...in Alice in Wonderland!"....
When the new visitor...shared her story with me... I smiled...and nodded...in approval....
tho...
I had No Idea... what she was referring to...
I had never read the book...or seen the movie....
I...hoped... it was a compliment...

I made a note to self...I'd have to look at the book...sometime...
{ahhhh.... that never happened...}
Then...when Daughter, Liz...and I... went to see A Christmas Carol.... {new release...by Disney}... The trailer....
for Alice in Wonderland... with Johnny Deep... flashed before us...
We Both.... sat there....Stunned....
It Was....The Shop....
{I swear... Tim Burton...had been to the little shop....}
It was Gnarly...Gnarly...Gnarly...
and...
I....am...a bit...The Mad Hatter...
It's been...a lot of Fun...and Continues...to be...
but...
I got to thinking...
I had...a Pet...White Mouse...
many years ago...just show up..in the shop....
hand fed him...
and...
Have had... families of Bunnies....
find...a safe home... in the Green House....
Then... I was just thinking... about a story....
concerning the Man...who lived here...
60 years ago....
He...Raised...Rabbits....
Hmmmm...
This... Little Corner....
has been a Rabbit Hole...
from long before...I was...Born....
There...is more to that story....
and... it's... a little...
odd....
I don't know all of the details...
and...I had...completely...forgotten...all about it...
until...recently...

they can't do Humans...or our Critters...much good...either....
