It's Such a Long....Long...Wat to Fall....Down the Rabbit Hole...

Peg and I worked 'til 12:30...this morning...Why should it take us this long....?
It's a Long...Long Way to Fall...Down the Rabbit Hole....We have one room in the Shop...and the back Greenhouse...it may be late in the day...before the back one gets done...it is...what it is...
Peg will be putting out her Gourds, in the morn...Val brought out Amazing Soy Candles, her Daughter Abbey makes, with Gnarly Wine Bottles... They are wonderful...and very reasonable!
I have to be up in 5 hours...

I have more, we'll be putting out...when it stops raining... We have these all tarped...hopefully it will clear off late Morn!

It's taking too long...to put images on...this evening...and I am Exhausted...{it's a little after 10...}Peg and I got much done...Much more to go....I have had several Folks stop by....but...I am not open, 'til Friday Morning.... I hate turning Folks away... but we have a Royal Mess going on... and we'll have everything together...{hopefully} by Friday...
Weather sounds wet... so...Primitive things, outside, will be tarped...and uncovered, when we can...Friday, sounds like the best day...but...who knows...It Is...What It Is...

All God's Creatures....

Peg got in, today...with another load, of her Amazing Artwork...
I was breathless...
"All God's Creatures"...was one she had been working non-stop on... I couldn't wait to see it... She put everything on it...and...inside a hinged door... {who would have thought...a hinged door..on a gourd...} Things she loves the most.... Bugs.... and even a snake... Garden Creatures....God's Creatures...She nestled one of her favorite bird's nests, inside... with three little eggs, her mother gave her...{Peg was so close to her Mother.... she has been gone 23 years...} and the hinge...came from her Father's collection of old hardware...

It is sold...already... Dustin, Audrey's wonderful husband... came rolling in, looking for the perfect Birthday Gift...for Sweet, Aud...{sweet cheeks tasty treats} and... I Think he hit the Jackpot! I'm so glad he got it for her... What an Amazing Piece... For an Amazing Girl...
Peg has a Lovely Collection, that will be here for the Garden Party...

John and I got Fountains going... and lot's of dibby dabby's done...today...when Peg arrived.... we Cranked, on the Greenhouse...Primitives, in  the morn...we are going to scrape the clock...for sure...

am unpacking some of the Wonderful Treasures...I have been Gathering....Mmmm....Mmmmm!

Liz came out today...and helped throw some displays together...a Welcome Hand! It is looking pretty Gnarly... Lots of Vintage Textiles... Fun! Fun! Fun! I still have Miles..and Miles to go...Peg is coming tomorrow..{with a New Load of her Amazing Gourds!!!} we'll get'er done...

I picked up some very cool stuff, tonight... I'll have the Shop's Lawn Full!!!

I'm clearing out some stuff.. but...man...There is Gonna Be Some Very Cool...New Arrivals!...

{I called it a Gentle Spring Rain....It was...here...}
Tho... John just informed me we missed a Big One...Tornados... Huge Hail... hmmm...
 I saw it, as a gentle spring rain....
maybe... Mother Nature...saw what a Foul Frickin' Mood I am In... and...Decided... to go 'round...

Broken Glass... Tangled Vines...Broken Dishes...Topped...by a Gentle Spring Rain...

This was my day...
Made my way down the Rabbit Hole... this morning...tho I had Norah Jones playing...{I need her calming effect, down the Rabbit Hole...} I need it Loud... so I climbed up the mid 1800's Cupboard... to the top... where the CD player was...{I have lost the remote...in the rubble...}....the Player started to fall...{it's big...but has awesome sound...important to me...}I was trying to keep it from hitting the treasures...that are in mounds, below...{many apothecary jars...ironstone...beautiful dishes...} and not fall, with it... while doing so... I put my hand...and stereo through one of the original glass panes....of the wonderful, old cupboard... the CD player...Norah...and my hand... are miraculously unscathed...{Norah was found 6 feet away...flung from the player...into a basket of vintage lace...} The massive 1830's, wooden movement, heavy, weight driven clock...fell off the top of the cupboard, as well...it is still resting on it's side...it, also, is fine... the only casualty is the glass... and...I was broken hearted, over that... oh my...
I swore...I would get the Greenhouse Done, today... whatever...{there is always chocolate...and wine...}{think I'll start drinking now... through next weekend... oh my...} I did get the Wonderful...9 foot... Hardware Store Bin delivered to Sweet Audrey! {sweet cheeks tasty treats} and had visits from Mark...Dale...Garth and Ginger{virginia rose}....and...John and I moved some Heavy Stuff, into the shop.....oh my....so... I Did get Something done...
I keep cutting and pulling the Clematis...from the old porch...inside the Greenhouse.....oh my Gosh...What a Frickin'...Never Ending...Frickin' Mess!!!!! I'm covered...and so is every frickin' other thing...in the Greenhouse!!!! GRRRRR!!!!
Of course... while wrestling with the Clematis... I broke some darling dishes...that were simply in the wrong place...at the Wrong...Frickin' Time...Oh Dear!
Thankfully...God sent...a Gentle... Calming Rain...this Evening... to soothe my Fragmented Soul...
I'll tare into it... in the morn...

New...'Old Stock'...Concrete...Gotta Love It!!!

Tons...{literally}...of New 'Old Stock' Urns...{just got a shiver....nearly every night...while I am posting... I hear the breezeway door shut...it's already...shut...I won't get up...and look... Polly is here...by my side... if it's human...I'm safe...if not... I don't want to know....}

Back to the urns....'New', 'Old Stock'..means... they were made many years ago...but stored... The Elderly Gentleman, that made them, is still living... but, has been ill, for many years... he and his Father made many of them, 50 years ago....tho, some were made, only 20 years ago...they would be the newest... they have just set... since he sold his business out....{Many are all Gnarly...from Moss... from sitting under an old Pine Tree... Lovely...}  These were originally created for Cemeterys...hmmm...Cool Cemeterys...any more... you can't even have an above ground head stone....I remember visiting Natchez, Mississippi, with Allyson, last year....The Cemetery was AMAZING....

Oh well...

I worked in the shop...'til I had enough...

A HUGE Thanks...to Son...Justin.... he made life much....Much Easier...

It was Great Seeing Katie..and BABY 'J'!!!!

Justin Man Handled...These Monster Urns... Single Handedly... {I sold the outside pair...last year...they are headed to a Wedding!} it was great...to get the 'Season Boys'...in a permanent place, in the newly purchased urns... Now...I just need to get them planted up! Yeah!

 I gotta tell ya... Scarlett and I are cut from the same cloth... I held her....in my left arm...and kept workin'...with my right...it's a Multi Tasking... Maternal Thing...
{I could get Liz, or Justin, out of a car seat... change a diaper... and get 'em back...fastened... all at a red stop light...Really...}
I really Loved having them help out...Liz and I moved the sofa to the front of the shop...OH DEAR!!! What a Mess! Send Prayers my way...I have got to get this pulled together...Tic Toc!!!
