I'll NEVER Forget a Very, Very... Hot Afternoon, in Bonaparte, Iowa.

Main Street.

I've written about this many times, over the years. : )

Old Pal... and 'City Girl', then... Show Partner, Julie... and I were shopping in Southern Iowa.

We were driving the little Purple Ford Ranger.

The clutch safety switch was bad, so... told Julie... to NOT let me shut the little Purple Ford off, throughout our day.

I was fearful... It wouldn't start again.

We made it through the Entire... Hot, Hot... Day, Junkin'....

{no air... in the little Purple Ford <3}

when we pulled in at a Shop, in Bonaparte, out of habit, Not Thinkin'...

I Shut the little Purple Ford off.

GADS!!!!

now...

 Almost Always... it would start, but... 

other times, especially... like.... the most 

Inopportune Times, the little Purple Ford... would say... "No.", and....

I'd have to Push, Bail In...and Pop The Clutch!!

Didn't want to have that problem, with Julie... so, didn't mean to shut him off.

True to Form, 

the little Purple Ford, said... "No."

when I turned the key.

{After... we were done shoppin'. : )

 Didn't Want to Know... How Stuck We'd Be, 'before'... we shopped.}

Oh my...

Julie... became a 'Farm Girl'... Pretty Quick, that day.

Oh...dear.

When I turned the key, and nothing happened, 

 looked over at Julie... The 'Shotgun Rider'...

and broke the news.

"We're gonna have to push the truck."

Julie... Bless Her Heart, Was All In!!

Told her... we'd have to push it back... into the middle of Main Street, then...

push it down the street, as FAST as We Can.

Julie... was On Board!!

{Main Street... Bonaparte, is very quiet.}

We pushed the loaded... little Purple Ford, back... into Main Street, then, I cranked him around... to head down the street.

It was like a cartoon, watching ALL Of The Cars Come From Nowhere....

When we started down Main Street, I was pushing on the inside open driver's door frame....

looked over, and saw Julie... also pushing on her passenger side inside door's frame.

DEAR LORD!!!

"Girl!! Ya Can't Push There!!! Door Wide Open!! We'll Hit Every Parked Car on The Street!!

Ya Gotta Push The Tailgate!!"

{more car's from Nowhere...

 are Lining Up. {and... people are looking out of the windows, of the Store Fronts.}

It was nearly 100 degrees that afternoon.

I looked at Julie, and said...

"We have to Run. Run Fast."

We Ran... Pushed that little Purple Ford, as quick as we could.

I bailed in, at Our Quickest Time, put The Ford... in gear... eased off of the clutch,

chug...

chug...

chug.

Not Fast Enough!!!

{more cars lining up... more people!!}

Kicked my shoes off, threw 'em in the truck...

told Julie... 

'Faster!!! Faster!!! Faster!!!! We've Got To Go Faster!!"

again...

Julie, was All In!!

Away... We Went.

I glanced in the rearview mirror, to my horror, saw Julie's fingers Clinging for Life, on The Tail Gate.

Saw her Eyes... between her Frozen Hands, Clinging... to The Tail Gate.

Dear Lord!!!

I... gently... gently... brought The Ford, to a stop.

Julie... came Running around, to the passenger's door,

Flung It Open....

Completely... Out of Breath...

"He....He.....He........"

was all Julie... could muster.

asked... Julie, 

"Why... didn't ya let go of the truck???"

her reply...

"You didn't tell me too."

Used to think that was funny.

Not anymore.

{well... parts of that Day were Very... Funny. ; ) }

Often... I expect people to understand, and 'know'... things, that...

unless you've walked through certain fires, there's no way.... you could know.

We're All... on such different Journeys.

So Incredibly Grateful, to, and for... Everyone... I've met on mine.

Indeed.

 Been struggling with this election.

{I'm certain... You Had No Idea. : ) }

One person... that's really helped me wake up, 

is Michael Cohen.

Cohen has a podcast.

He...was Trump's 'Fixer', Attorney, for about 12 years.

Nobody... was closer to Donald Trump, back then...

Nobody.... knows Donald Trump, better...

than Michael Cohen.

when Michael wouldn't sell his soul...

well, look him up.

Get over it. A little over half of this country voted for Trump. Let's see what they voted for.
