Don't Judge a Book...

Don't judge a book by it's cover.
<3

Started this post, yesterday...
Was thinking about 'Thanksgiving's Past'.
Had started an entirely different post, but...
decided to switch directions.
: )
Was going to title that post...
'Holiday... 'rules'.'

Never realized it, until now... but, I've always... had them, since I moved out... on my own, with...
Beloved, Dolsey, {Great Dane} at 15.

'Holiday Rules'.

It's gonna take more, than a 'moment'... to pull that story together.
: )
Stay Tuned.

Found this late 1800's... 'Pretty Much Everything'... Book, while going through books, over the weekend.
: )
Searching for some interesting Pie recipes.
Something Old...
that would be New, to try.
; )

Love the recipe that's pinned to the top of the page.
Must Be a Really Good Angel Food Cake recipe, to be Pinned on the Inside Page!!
: )
Looks pretty simple.
; )

Loved 'These' Pages.
; )
They... were a Mess.
<3
so...
That...
 tells me,
One of the recipes on these pages, was ...

'Mrs. A.L. Young
from
Zearing,
Story County, Iowa...'
's
 'Favorites'...
in about
1890.
; )

Pulled the Zearing, Iowa... info from their City Page.
: )

Think...
Mrs. A.L. Young, was living in Zearing, reading, and Creating...
 from
 This...
 Amazing... 'Book',
when that little Iowa Town, was just...
 a
 'Baby'.

When I go through these early... Cook Books, oh my.
I've collected them, for years.
The ones printed before, 1900...
oh dear...
I, truly... Fall Down a Rabbit Hole, while reading them.

In the 1880's, and 90's...
most Folk's in Iowa... didn't have indoor plumbing.
No electricity.
Farmed... with Horses, and Mules.
