When letting Miss. Peanut outside, this morning...
noticed a HUGE Spider's Web... across the doorway.

Must be three feet in diameter!!!
Tweaked the image above, so the Web... could be seen better.

Seems even the Spiders are trying to keep the world 'outside' the door.

Ya know 'Fall'... is close, when the Spiders start spinning their Beautiful Webs.

The scent... of motor oil, and... gasoline, is a little...
'Wonderful'.

Takes me Back.
John could work on engines, and was Very Good at It, but...
he Hated getting his hands greasy.

He Much Preferred Paint, and Body Work.

Twistin' Wrenches.

Dad... on the other hand, was always working on old Tractors, Cars, and Trucks...
always had parts soaking in old pans, and cans... filled with kerosene.
; )
To this day... when I get a whiff of kerosene, yep...
it takes me back.

Yesterday... someone I hold Very Dear, labeled me a
'crusader'.
{not so much... in a positive way.}
tho,
I'm ashamed to admit it, a 'crusader'... I am not.
Like so many... get all too busy with 'life', and... until things are pouncing on me, I... don't pay nearly enough attention to the world outside.

I feel, in these days, we need more 'crusaders'... in certain areas, for sure.
Those... that Take the Fight, to The Cause.
My 'Fight'... came to my door.

I... didn't go chasing after it.
There's a Big Difference between being on the
Offense,

Perhaps... had I been a 'crusader' back in the 1990's...
with our first Iowa Department of Transportation Condemnation, and afterwards,
things might have been different for us, and many...
over the last quarter of a century.
Guess we'll never know.
I have only two options, with our 'Fight', these days, it seems.

lay down my sword.
I've never been one... to not fight back, when being attacked.
I... may go down,
