realized...
before I struck a key on the old laptop, there's no way I can write a 'Novel', in a few hours.

There's gonna be a few 'chapters' to Virgil's 'Sale'...
'Book'.

Very cross-eyed, this morning.

Was determined to sleep in, but....
my eyes popped open at 4:24 a.m.
GADS!!!
Did manage to go back to sleep, about 7, slept until 9.
I believe... the rest of 'The Crew'... is about where I am, this morning.

Incredible!
{We sold over a Thousand Hot Rod, and Racing Magazines to a Gentleman... that lives not far from Fairfax.
He was Tickled!! So were WE!!
We sold Hundreds of them, during the first three days, but, oh dear.
Virgil Saved Every Single One he ever got.

Wasn't sure the Gentleman's Truck... could Handle The LOAD!!
He was driving a Ford, so... was pretty confident.

Sold The Coupe Dragster, the Racing Trailer... and Bud... and Renate's Lincoln.
All by Sealed Bids!!

Virgil's Son, Jerry... and Daughter in Law, Christene, are Keeping The 35 Sedan!!!

Yesterday morning, started out a little slower than I'd hoped, but...
about 30 minutes into the sale...
The Dam Broke!!
The Race was ON!!
Holy Smokes!!
We were Crazy Busy until The Bundling started, at 2,
then...
It Was INSANE!!
Hahahahaha!!!
We had Folks shopping until nearly 7.
Yippee!!!
We Cleaned a LOT Out, yesterday.

We have many Folks coming this week, to take a look, before we start the 'Clean Out'.

I'd called one of The Best Mechanics I know, Mark Neuhaus,
{Neuhaus Inc. Fairfax, Iowa}
{Mark, and John... were very Close. : ) }
last week...
hoping he could take a look at some of Virgil's things, that had us stumped.
Mark...said, he wouldn't have a clue on many of the Racing, and Motor parts.
My Heart Sank.

but... then,
Mark advised me to give Scott a call.
I did.
Explained our situation to Scott, offered to pay him for his time... the use of his 'Brain'.
: )
Scott said...
"Sure. I'll stop by." and absolutely Not... about taking any money.
Scott said he knew Virgil, well... and would help out any way he could.

The Young Couple... had purchased a PILE of Cool T shirts, the first day.
Jerry spied one, as they were buying it, that he sure wished he'd seen, before.
It was one that featured Virgil's Dodge Colt.
Jerry, didn't want to ask for it.
When Jerry told me about it, and who got it... well, it turned out, our Son, Justin's, Lady...
is related to them.
Who Knew!!!???
Christy had actually 'sent' them to Virgil's Sale!!
We talked to them, and they were HAPPY to bring it back, and give it to Jerry.

They didn't want the money back, but... we gave them several cool treasures, for their Kindness.

The Young Man, with his Wife... visited Virgil's Sale, the first day.
I... could always 'feel' the Young Man's... emotions, when he stepped inside Virgil's Shop.

He was so...
'somber'.

He LOVES Virgil.
{Hates seeing this 'Page'... turn.}
He's been shopping with Virg, since he was a teen.
{We've heard that from Dozens. Virgil is Loved, and Respected... by Many}
I tried, and tried... to talk the Young Man... into buying Virgil's Desk.
It's Amazing.
It was a little pricey.
I expected it to Fly... out the door, the first day.
The Young Man said...
"Maybe... you should put a larger tag on it. Maybe people don't know it's for sale."
I thought about it, but... thought better. I... just Knew, Who... should Have Virgil's Counter.
When he and his Wife, came back... yesterday.
I put 'The Pitch' on 'em.

If They... didn't buy that Counter, they'd regret it... Always.
Pal, Bill... wanted it, too... but, we All Agreed, 'Who' should Have It.
