It was in Need.

I have been running so hard.... the last many weeks....

there was no way....

I could 'keep'.... the house....

I...sat down... this afternoon... for a break...

and noticed the old... Iron Front.... I had dragged home.....

when John was putting the 'addition' together.

He thought to put a light behind it.... 

{He incorporated it.... for the Cold Air Intake }

We have had it lit... with every color....

The last, many years.... it's been white....

John's Favorite Color.... was Blue.

I asked Liz... to run.... and get a Blue.... Bulb.

She switched them out....

and....

It's Perfect.

Perfect.

Yesterday.... she attended her Dance Class.... Halloween Party.

I looked at her Costume.... It was Darling....

She had Fairy Wings... to go with her little red dress....: )

She reminded me...so... of Liz.

I mentioned.... when Liz was 5.... she had worn a similar Dress....

but...

with... little 'horns'... : )

I dressed her as a Little devil....

for Halloween...

{yes... I was Incorrect... 22 years ago... as well. : ) } 

and...still had the little horns... in the hall closet...

{that Liz, after hearing this... Had... to Unearth! : ) }

but... don't read anything into this. 

When I was in my Teens.... I had a Problem... with The Charlie Daniel's Band....and....

 The Song...

because ... a line... in the lyrics... had something to do... with 'giving the devil his due'...

I, knew.... even then.... 

We Owe... the devil.. Nothing. }

After her Dance Party...

Miss. Scarlett, came here... to stay with me.

It was so Great...seeing everyone. : )

The Kids helped...haul.... and set the walls....

Even Miss. Scarlett... helped...during set up.... 

Paula and Cathy... {Promoter's}... befriended Miss. Scarlett.... and they strolled through the Show.... and had Much Fun...together. <3 <3 <3 for hours... : ) }

I worked... and got the Fall Booth... pulled together.

It...turned out pretty good. : )

I...wish...I had taken more smalls....

but...

did the best I could. : )

There is simply... not enough time... in a day.

It was a hit...with Folks... and they seemed to like it. : )

That was good. : ) 

I was told over and over.... I should create Theater Stages. : ) 

yes... that would be Fun. : )

So many of these pieces... are Perfect.... for Theater... or, Photography....

Perfect.

I Loved... Everything in the booth.... it was Fun...to play with the Old Gnarliness!

I especially Love... the 1830's Settee...{fragment} that is on the table, in the background.

It was in a pile... when I bought it..on Friday.

{stood next to it... for an hour... at the auction..so I wouldn't miss it! : ) }

All of the parts, they had saved...were tied to it.

I was going to throw them away... or use what was decorative, for something else.

I Just LOVED The Massive...Hand Carved.... Hairy Paw Feet!!!

This... makes my knees weak. : )
oh my...
The Early Empire Furniture... along with the Mid 1800's Victorian Furniture.... is so... dismissed.
Good for us.... : )
We have furnished much of our Home... with it... <3 <3 <3 { for a pittance... }
To have this piece made, today.... IF you could find a Craftsman  with enough knowledge to create it....
{or the other Beautiful Settee... and chairs...} would cost ... maybe...Thousands.
{and.. it would be... new. You can't recreate 'Soulfulness'...for any amount of money.}
That's all about the 'Journey'....

These One of a Kind... pieces... are priced for a few hundred dollars.
a few... tanks of gas.....
a couple of trips...to the grocery store.
a fraction.... of a mass produced .... 'something'... anyone can get... new, then...found at a garage sale... in a year...
{if... it should last long enough... to make it to a 'garage sale'... : ) oh my. : ) }
I Scratch My Head.... why folks buy.... what they do.... : )
{and pay....so Much...money for it. : ) }
oh well... : )
of course....
there are those... who will scratch their heads.... at what we have.

I thought,.. if I just put a top...of some sort... on the base with the legs... it would make a Great Coffee Table!

They sold Marble... at the auction, Friday.....too.

I bought the biggest piece.... and   it fit pretty well.... : )

Then... when we were cleaning it up... Saturday Morning....

Liz and I noticed.... there were nearly enough pieces, to put the arms on....

We scrounged... and found some wood... and a couple barn hinges....

then... we put it back together... again. : )

{no glue.... in case someone... someday.... should want to restore this.

 It's very possible.... to be put back... }

It Is....SWEET!

The cool thing, was.... 

It was 'Noticed'... and 'Admired', by the Hard Core... Antique People....

that Really....Really... Know Their Stuff!!!

 It's Bones... and carvings were so... amazing...and Early... 

{1810-1830}

and... it is such an unusual size.

 Small.... : )

Yet... there were those... who had no idea, of it's 'History'... and were drawn to it.... and Loved it....as well... : )

Yet... it came home.

It's on the Ford.... and... until the next show... I'm putting it in the house, so I can Love It... for awhile.

The Fall Sales.... have Officially ended. oh my.... Thanks...to Everyone... who popped in. : ) : ) : )

These last few weeks... have been... 'grueling'.... to say the least.

The weather... was tuff... but... we still... were Blessed... by so many... wonderful Folks.

I didn't know...how much... it would pull on my... heart strings.

It was so wonderful seeing... some friends... I hadn't seen... for such a long time....

I sat down... last night, and sent a Thank You... to some friends, who dropped off treasures... yesterday....

Mark and I... had just visited with my friend, Stan... who is a 'Lighting' director for the most Major Music Artists... throughout the World.

Stan, is...incredible....

He told us... of some of the amazing shows he has been involved in... in Europe... recently...

When I saw this video... I thought of him.... immediately....

wow....

It's so over the top....

it is exactly... how I envision....

'Heaven'...

{John...Dad....Mom....Family...Friends....Critters... and... Beautiful Music....of all kinds....enjoying it all..... with Our Lord... <3 }

It also made me think... how very blessed I am... to have such wonderful people... in my life.

but... we both...laughed a lot... too. : )

The Old...Corner Cupboard... was one thing... I have had a problem with....

I...could have sold it... 10 times.... Friday morning...from the moment we pulled it off the Ford.

but... I couldn't price it.

As each person asked about it....

they would go on... about how they would 'fix'... it....

Paint it... Stain it.... Re Work...it....take the old wallpaper out.... strip it down.....

I...sat there... with it... staring at it... again...and again....

I had Promised Nancy.... I would find... the perfect Home.... for her Dad's... Old Corner Cupboard....

oh my....

I never did price it....

when it began to rain... this afternoon....

Mark ... {and a very nice Customer}... helped me put it in the breezeway of the house.

There is no room.... in the house for it....

{trust me... I have thought of every angle.... }

yet....

I... simply.... couldn't let it go.

A Cute Little Cupboard...was brought to the door... yesterday...

Garth and Ginger...had thought of me... on this...while Garth was at an Auction, yesterday....

I had been looking for one... like this for Justin and Katie....

it was perfect....

I can't wait to see it... in their Home. <3

Cold... is fine... Rain... for a day...or two... well... is unfortunate... but... we can get through that....

We set up... on a smaller scale... and under cover...

We fought... the elements...every day....

I was so.... Frozen... by the end....of every day.... all I could do... was sit... with an Old.. Lap Robe... around me.

{I was so tired...and hurting... before the sale...began... I wasn't movin' very fast... period. : ) }

and have..... a little... more... laid back... Autumn... gathering. 

It's so hard... to pull everything together... so fast.....

there is MUCH.... to do... before the doors open.
