John built this addition...fitted with Antique Architecture...{massive...architecture...I might add...that I harvested, throughout the Mid-West} with 16 foot ceilings...all ....pretty much, alone.... I think the only saw he ever used, was an ancient SKIL Saw...with a dull...smokey blade..scaffolding, that would sway around...{yeeeesh!} a rickety old aluminum ladder... and...Lots of Carpenter Angels...I swear! He scared me to death.... I'd be holding on to the ladder... or hanging over the balcony...trying to steady the scaffolding...begging...{well... in a calm...reasonable tone....{begging never works....}trying to persuade him to get down.... wait for help...{real help...I'm not good with heights...my palms are sweating now...just thinking about it...I will climb... but....no likey!} {my palms were sweating...profusely...just watching him....} and then, he'd order me OUT!!!!! The smoke, that came off that old saw, is a scent, that will live with me, forever....I know there was a Hand of God, in the making of this room... so much of it is Church related...He calls himself a "Wood Butcher"...I think he's...amazing....but...needs to stick to wood....and not extremities...

Hey Vikki!
Oh yes...John did almost all of the work himself... including, steadying 4x12 sheets of drywall, on a sheetrock jack, on the swaying scafolding....oops...there go my palms again...16 feet in the air...well.. is a long way up...We did have great help from the kids, and friends and neighbors, getting the bones up.... but the rest, was all John... I gathered, for years...and designed it... actually... it was pretty amazing...God's Hands...still not done... maybe in another 10 years...
My Love to you...Angel Vikki!

Hey, Miss Betty G.
I'll have you know...I lived in a 14x60 mobile home...{as well as a 10x50, and a 10x40} over the years... Loved them...and...The ones today...oh my...They are Palaces...I've been in some, that are AMAZING!!! Whew!
I do love being surrounded by Old Arcitecture...It Just has Soul...and, you can put that in, any home! My little shop, is 24x32...and, basically, a 3 stall garage... when we built it.... we just put cool vintage entry doors on it...10 foot ceilings...with old tin, and non textured walls, to look like plaster...almost Everyone thinks that Little Building has been there, for a hundred years!...some days... I am sure it has!
Happy New Year...
My Love to Ya1
