The Week's End...

Spent Saturday, on the run... in the morning, making deliveries... Had some nice folks through the shop, Dale popped in, and asked if I'd like to go to the Kiawanis Antique Show, near Iowa City... I said sure! Kate and Justin popped out, and needed me to watch the little Darling, Justin J. for a little while, and Dale and I made all sorts of attempts, to make him smile... He is teething, so not an easy task! He is going to be a Big Man... Wow, is he growing... He's 3 months old, and wearing, snugly, 9-12 month clothes... He's a Husky Lad! When Kate and Justin picked up the Babe, we took off, for the show... It was sooo fun, even tho we got there at the end of the day... They said the crowd was so enormous, at opening, people could hardly move! WOW! I visited with so many folks I knew, not ever attending this show, I wasn't sure I'd know anyone... Everyone seemed very happy, with their sales! I think it's going to be a GREAT Year!!! Dale didn't buy anything... the things he wanted, were pretty high end... I'm so lucky, I love, not just high end... If it's old, and gnarly, I love every end, and what's in the middle, too!!!! I found the most wonderful Chandelier, all goopy, and beady! A cool silver piece, and some sweet cookie cutters! Fun! Fun! I wanted to tell you yesterday,{ but was still spinnin' with Alice...} about a new store that has opened in Marion, Iowa. Bill B. and his friend, Mike, have a cool store, "Antique Warehouse" at 2566 5th Ave. Marion... Peg and I stopped there on Friday, and had a great time! Go check it out! They are open 10-3, daily! { or call Bill, 319-360-5524} I'm telling you... we have the best Antiquing, here in Eastern Iowa.... I visited with Peg, on her way home, yesterday morning... Told her about the movie, and she has agreed to go with, and see it, later this month... I told her how I was expecting to walk away from it, with 'change', and inspiration... Only to find, it's been here, all along... I just didn't see it... Liz, Peg and I, just sat back, and absorbed this little lesson... It's like Scarlett, running through the mist, and never finding what she is searching for, { because, she already had it, and didn't realize it...} And Dorothy, running away, to Oz, only to discover, there truly is, no place like home... And Alice... running away, and spinning and falling down the 'Rabbit's Hole', never dreaming, she is the 'strong, daring 'Alice', they are searching for.... but her strength was always, right there, inside... she just had to find it.... They are wonderful lessons... I think I have been running, and searching, not believing, that I could ever accomplish much... But the mist is lifting... I'm going to focus.... clean up, slick up... Imagine, the unimaginable, and express it... Hmmm, I guess I was inspired... Now, You, go out, and be inspired... Do something, you really thought you couldn't, and prove, to that inner self, you can do anything... If you can dream it... and imagine it... You can do it! Barb C. { a.k.a The Mad Hatter}
