Alice in Wonderland...Wonderful!

Oh my.... Peg and I took the day, and bugged out... We went to Flower Shops, and Green Houses... and filled our exhausted spirits with Flora.... It was Grand...
Liz forgot, but tonight the movie opened, I have been waiting months to see...'Alice in Wonderland'.... Wanted Peg to go, with us, but she wasn't impressed with the thought... She will be so sorry...
Liz, Nick, two of their friends and I went... I Loved it... So did Liz... We all did! I have been so looking foreword to it... I thought, this will inspire me, give me some great new ideas, for the store... It has been compared to 'Alice in Wonderland', and falling down the Rabbit's hole... I have never seen the older versions, or read the book... so... I wondered what people meant...{ I was a little afraid... thinking folks meant well, by telling me this, but reality might be a bit painful, after the movie...} They hit the nail on the head... I'll take it as a wonderful compliment....
Everything was Gnarly... right down to the Tea Leaf, yes, the Little Shop could have been their movie set... I thought they might show me how to be even Gnarlier...Actually, I'd have to tone the little Store, down a bit....{ that'll never happen!} I saw the old, old, cracked and broken dishes, early Staffordshire, Blue Onion, gnarly lace, gnarly trees, massive architecture, broken columns, twisted iron... Yep, it's all right here... in Fairfax... The only thing I have to work on, is my hair... I need bright Orange hair! I think I have an old top hat... colored contacts, in green... and I'm the Mad Hatter! { Alice, I'll never be...}
The Mad Hatter fits me well... Liz agreed! We're thinking of setting up the Memorial Day Weekend Sale, as a little tribute, to the movie...Duplicating the wonderful harvest table, set with all of the early English Tea Services... broken, and disheveled, all over the surface... with gnarly old lace and linen tableclothes... Torn up upholstered chairs, surrounding it... How cool would that be!!!! {wait a minute...we already do that...}
Oh well, we'll 'gnarl' it up, over the top... I can't wait!!!! Maybe I'll even dye my hair bright orange!!! { I guess I did that too, a few years ago...} I hope you can go see the movie... It is wonderful.... I'm going again... It was so fun!
Peg is on her way home, tomorrow... We have great plans, for Spring... Our bodies are a little stiff and sore, today, but we're bouncing back, well... We are planning a trip, to the Chicago Botanic Garden Show, in April... I can't wait for the gals to see it... It will blow their minds!
I'll be working in 'Wonderland', I mean the Shop, tomorrow, and getting everything in order for the UNI-DOME Show, starting on the 18th... It'll be a barn burner! I'm really looking foreword to the Mid West Show, on the 11th of April.... We've got some cool stuff held back, just for that show!
It's a little after 11, and I'm ready for the sack...
Have a GREAT DAY, Tomorrow, and Sweet Dreams...{ My mind will be racing all night, with that Awesome Movie, spinnin' my gears!} Barb C.

That's exactly what sister Judy said about your shop when we left ther -- like falling down the rabbit hole. Can't wait to see the movie. Also can't wait to see pictures from the Chicago show. I'm so ready to get some flowers in the ground. Have a great weekend. Jan

My household are huge Johnny Depp fans so we want to see the movie so bad!!! I am glad to hear that it lives up to its billing.

It was so cool after the movies when we talked about it. I mean it fit you perfect.Just like the movie, you went searching to find something new and better, when it was there all along within yourself. You and Tim Burton are on the same page. Wouldn't it be cool if he came to your shop looking for inspiration. You two would make quite a pair!
