The 'Dubuque' Run!

Pal Val, and I took a fast run, to Dubuque, yesterday... Val is redoing her lower level, in her home, to do her Heirloom seeds...It will be amazing! I talked her out of using an old farm sink, and instead, using a wonderful vintage, tin trough, for her sink, mounted under a 10 foot concrete topped work table, instead of marble, that she had wanted... The light bulbs were goin' off, all over the place, as we were putting her construction 'Dude', through his paces, as we were bouncing ideas, off of each other! Then we headed North! We stopped in Anamosa, had a quick{wonderful!} lunch, with Wanda, from 'Gatherings',{ she's been getting some beautiful stuff in! the shop is amazing!} shopped at her store, then continued on, visited with Judy,{ Hickory Hill} in Cascade, she's really coming along with all of her new displays, too! Then we hit Dubuque... I was pretty disappointed... I didn't get to stop at 'Jensen's', my old pal Maryellen, owns that, and I know it is amazing, but we took off with such short notice, I didn't want to bother her...I will, next trip! We did have a Gal open for us, at our last stop, and I purchased a cool old cupboard, and a darling vintage chandelier! I was truly hoping to come home with the 'tires rubbin', but it was not to be... Val found some cute garden things, for her new room, and we had wonderful food, all day! {there goes the diet!}
I am headed back to Val's, to unload this morning. We'll have to see what other trouble we can get into, today!
'til next time,
Barb C.
